Essex Rowing's Sculling Development Camp is a selective, high-performance program drawing top high school male scullers from across the country to build and prepare team boats for competition at the USRowing Club Nationals Championship and Royal Canadian Henley Regatta.

In its first season of existence and with only six rowers, Essex Rowing’s Junior Sculling Development Camp took home a gold medal in every regatta they entered, including a National Championship and Canadian Henley Championship. Rowers from the camp’s first season attracted attention from schools such as Princeton, Harvard, Wisconsin, Trinity, and Cornell, and have thus far committed to the University of Washington and Yale University.

Essex Rowing is committed to providing its athletes with professional coaching, state-of-the-art equipment and dedicated facilities. Development Camp aims to immerse its athletes in the kind of environment that will empower them to realize their full competitive potential against the best crews from throughout the United States and Canada.

Interested athletes are encouraged to explore the site further for program details and information regarding the application process.
