NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
The Introductory (or Learn to Row) program is designed to provide individuals that have had little or no exposure to the sport (as well as those that have been away from it for an extended period) a comprehensive introduction to the skills they will need to become competent at propelling a rowing shell. Training will utilize indoor rowing machines and indoor rowing tanks and focus on general aerobic fitness and the development of a solid technical foundation for moving onto the water in the spring. Following the Introductory program, participants will have the option of pursuing the sport with Essex Rowing in either a recreational or competitive capacity along with other rowers of comparable skill level and interest.
